Numpy's `identity(~)` method returns the identity matrix of the specified size.

# Parameters

1. `n` | `int`

The size of the matrix (i.e. number of rows and columns).

2. `dtype` | `string` or `type` | `optional`

The desired data type of the returned identity matrix. By default, `dtype=Float`.

# Return value

A 2D Numpy array that represents the identity matrix.

# Examples

## Basic usage

To create an identity matrix of size 3:

``` np.identity(3) array([[1., 0., 0.], [0., 1., 0.], [0., 0., 1.]]) ```

To create an identity matrix of type `int64`:

``` np.identity(3, dtype="int64") array([[1, 0, 0], [0, 1, 0], [0, 0, 1]]) ```
