Numpy's `asfarray(~)` converts an array to `float` type.

# Parameters

1. `a` | `array-like`

The array on which to perform the method.

2. `dtype` | `str` or `type` | `optional`

The float type to convert the input array to. If the input array is of type `int`, then it is converted to `float64`.

# Return value

A Numpy array of type `float`.

# Examples

## Converting to float64

``` x = [1,2,3]y = np.asfarray(x)y.dtype dtype('float64') ```

As a reminder, all `int` are converted to `float64`.

## Converting to float32

We need to specify `dtype="float32"`:

``` x = [1,2,3]y = np.asfarray(x, dtype="float32")y.dtype dtype('float32') ```

# Original array is left intact

Note that the original array is left intact, that is:

``` x = np.array([1,2,3])y = np.asfarray(x)x.dtype dtype('int64') ```

Here, y is of type `float`, but x is of type `int`.
