MySQL's RTRIM(~) method returns the input string with trailing space characters removed.

Parameters

1. str | string

The string to remove trailing spaces from.

Return value

The input string with trailing space characters removed.

Examples

To remove trailing spaces from 'hello ':

SELECT RTRIM('hello ');
+------------------------+
| RTRIM('hello ') |
+------------------------+
| hello |
+------------------------+

Although it is hard to see here, the returned string is 'hello' (no trailing space characters).
