expand_more MySQL's OCT(~)
method returns a string representation of the octal value (base 8) of the input number.
Parameters
1. N
| integer
The integer to return the string representation of the octal value for.
Return value
A string representation of the octal value (base 8) of the input number.
Examples
Basic usage
To return the octal value of 15
as a string:
SELECT OCT(15);
+---------+| OCT(15) |+---------+| 17 |+---------+
17
is the base 8 equivalent of 15
in base 10.
