expand_more MySQL's CHAR(~)
method returns a binary string representation of the provided integer code values.
Parameters
1. N
| integer
Integer representing code value for a string. Multiple integer values can be provided.
2. charset_name
| charset
| optional
The character set to use. Defaults to binary.
Return value
A string representation of the numeric input values using the specified character set.
Examples
To return binary string representation:
SELECT CHAR(72, 101);
+------------------------------+| CHAR(72, 101) |+------------------------------+| 0x4865 |+------------------------------+
To use the ASCII character set:
SELECT CHAR(72, 101, 108, 108, 111 USING ascii);
+------------------------------------------+| CHAR(72, 101, 108, 108, 111 USING ascii) |+------------------------------------------+| Hello |+------------------------------------------+
