expand_more Python's str.istitle()
method returns a boolean
indicating whether the string is titlecased and has at least one character.
NOTE
Titlecased string is where uppercase characters may only follow uncased characters and lowercase characters only cased ones. Example: This Is A Titlecased String
Parameters
No parameters.
Return value
A single boolean
indicating whether or not the string is titlecased and has at least one character.
Examples
Basic Usage
To check whether 'This is not a titlecased string'
is a titlecased string:
x = 'This is not a titlecased string'x.istitle()
False
In this example lowercase characters follow uncased characters (such as space) hence the string is not titlecased.
To check whether 'This Is A Titlecased String'
is a titlecased string:
y = 'This Is A Titlecased String'y.istitle()
True
