method:
# Our artificial data
height = [20, 40, 17, 62]
labels = ('Andy', 'Bob', 'Cathy', 'Dave')
y_pos = np.arange(len(labels)) # [0,1,2,3]
# Set the bar heightplt.barh(y_pos, height)
# Set the labels
plt.yticks(y_pos, labels)
plt.show()
