We can convert a string to a list in Python using the str.split(~) method.
Example
To convert a string to a list using a space as the delimiter (default):

                    s = "We are SkyTowner"

            ['We', 'are', 'SkyTowner']

    We can specify a delimiter to split using other characters:

                    s1 = "1964-01-02"

            ['1964', '01', '02']
