Whitespace refers to any nonprinting character such as spaces, tabs, and end-of-line symbols.

Adding tabs

To add tabs use \t:

print('Example')
print('\tExample')
Example
Example

Adding newline

To add newlines use \n:

print("Fruits:\nApple\nOrange\nPear")
Fruits:
Apple
Orange
Pear

Adding tabs and newlines

It is also possible to add both tabs and newlines:

print("Fruits:\n\tApple\n\tOrange\n\tPear")
Fruits:
Apple
Orange
Pear
