MySQL's LOG2(~) method returns the value of the base-2 logarithm of X. If we provide an input less than or equal to 0 we will return NULL.

Parameters

1. X | number

The number to return the base-2 logarithm for.

Return value

The value of base-2 logarithm of X.

Examples

To return base-2 logarithm of 256:

SELECT LOG2(256);

To return base-2 logarithm of 0:
