To insert a string or an element right before a tag in Beautiful Soup, use the Tag.insert_before(~)
method.
Example
Consider the following HTML document:
my_html = """ <div> <p>Alex</p> <p id="bob">Bob</p> <p>Cathy</p> </div>"""soup = BeautifulSoup(my_html)
To insert a string immediately before Bob's tag:
<div> <p>Alex</p> AAA<p id="bob">Bob</p> <p>Cathy</p></div>
