Python's dict.copy() method returns a copy of the specified dictionary.

Parameters

No parameters.

Return value

A copy of the original dictionary.

Examples

To return a copy of the dictionary car and store it to copy_car:

car = {
"manufacturer": "Toyota",
"model": "Prius",
"year": 2018
}

copy_car = car.copy()
print("car =", car)
print("copy_car =", copy_car)
