Pandas DataFrame.isna(~)
method returns a boolean mask where True
is set for missing values (NaN
) and False
for non-missing values.
NOTE
This method is equivalent to DataFrame.isnull()
.
Parameters
The method does not take any parameters.
Return value
A boolean mask where True
is set for missing values (NaN
) with False
for non-missing values.
Examples
Consider the following DataFrame:
A B0 NaN 3.01 2.0 NaN
To check for missing values:
df.isna()
A B0 True False1 False True
Note that this is useful, for instance, if you want to know how many missing values there are in your DataFrame:
