expand_more Numpy's zfill(~)
method left-fills each value of the input array with zeros until the specified width is reached.
Parameters
1. a
| array-like
The input array
2. width
| int
The desired length to fill until.
Return value
A Numpy array of strings.
Examples
Basic usage
np.char.zfill(["ab", 2], 5)
array(['000ab', '00002'], dtype='<U5')
The overflow case
np.char.zfill(["abc", 3000], 2)
