Pandas DataFrame.tail(~) method returns the last n rows of the DataFrame.

Parameters

1. n | int | optional

The number of rows you want returned. If a negative integer is provided, then all rows except the first n rows will be returned. By default, n=5.

Return Value

The last n rows of the DataFrame.

Examples

Consider the following DataFrame:

df = pd.DataFrame({"A":[3,4,5], "B":[6,7,8]})
df
A B
0 3 6
1 4 7
2 5 8

To fetch the last two rows:

df.tail(2)
A B
1 4 7
2 5 8

To fetch all rows except the first:

df.tail(-1)
A B
