Pandas DataFrame.iteritems() method is used to iterate over the column labels and column data of the source DataFrame.

Parameters

This method does not take in any parameters.

Return Value

Returns an iterator of label (object) and content (Series).

Examples

Consider the following DataFrame:

df = pd.DataFrame({"A":[4,5],"B":[6,7]}, index=["a","b"])
df
A B
a 4 6
b 5 7

To iterate over all the column labels and values of df:

for label, content in df.iteritems():
print("[label]", label)
print(content)
[label] A
a 4
b 5
Name: A, dtype: int64
[label] B
a 6
b 7
Name: B, dtype: int64

Note that modifying label or content within the loop will not have an effect on the source DataFrame.
