We can restore a table from an .sql file using the below command:


        
        
            
                
                
                    mysql -u {username} -p database_name < /filepath/backup.sql

To restore a table from a compressed .sql.gz file:


        
        
            
                
                
                    gunzip < /filepath/backup.sql.gz | mysql -u {username} -p database_name

Backing up a table in MySQL
