We can join two sets in Python using either the update(~) method or the union(~) method.

Examples

Update method

Consider the following two sets:

A = {1, 2, 3}
B = {3, 4, 5}

To add all elements of set B to set A:

A.update(B)
print(A)
{1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

Note that here we are modifying set A in place.

Union method

Consider the following two sets:

A = {1, 2, 3}
B = {3, 4, 5}

To return a new set with elements from set A and set B:

A.union(B)
{1, 2, 3, 4, 5}
