There are 2 main ways to add new keys to a dictionary: subscript notation or dict.update(~)
method.
Subscript notation
To add one key/value pair to dictionary d
:
{'1': 'one', '2': 'two', '3': 'three', '4': 'four'}
dict.update(~)
To add multiple key/value pairs to dictionary d
